Johannesburg Water has issued a Request for Quotation (RFQJW116NS26) for the refurbishment of buildings at the Driefontein Wastewater Treatment Plant. This strategic infrastructure maintenance project aims to preserve and enhance critical municipal water treatment facilities in the Gauteng province.
Scope of Works and Technical Requirements
The appointed contractor will execute comprehensive building refurbishment works at the Driefontein facility. The scope includes structural repairs, painting, roofing maintenance, and general building upgrades to ensure operational continuity and compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Bidders must submit:
- Completed SBD forms (SBD 3.1, MBD declarations)
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- CSD registration proof
- Valid lease agreement or municipal account statement (not older than 3 months)

- Attendance certificate from the compulsory site briefing
- CIDB Grade 1 or above
- Joint Venture Agreement (if applicable)
- Reference letter from a previous client (with contactable reference)
Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation follows the 80/20 preference point system, where 80 points are allocated for price and 20 points for specific goals including B-BBEE status and local economic development.

Attendance at the mandatory site clarification meeting is strictly required. Bidders must visit the Driefontein Wastewater Treatment Plant to understand the site-specific conditions and scope of works.
