The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has published a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the repair and maintenance of its Mpumalanga Provincial Office kitchen . This initiative forms part of the SIU’s operational maintenance programme to ensure its facilities meet required standards.

Compulsory Briefing Session
A mandatory briefing session will take place on 11 September 2026 at 10:00. Attendance is compulsory for all bidders.
Scope of Work
The project involves comprehensive kitchen renovations including:
- Careful demolition and removal of existing sink cabinet, single-bowl sink, and vinyl floor tiles
- Supply and installation of a new kitchen sink cabinet (1.50m × 0.60m × 0.90m) in white melamine
- Fabrication and installation of white granite worktops to match the East Wing Kitchen
- Porcelain floor tile installation (Origins Fynbos Grey Matt, 280 × 710mm)
- Ceramic wall tile installation (150mm × 150mm)
- New double-bowl stainless steel sink and mixer tap with plumbing connections

Mandatory Requirements
- Valid CIDB registration (Class 1 GB for General Building Work)
- COIDA Letter of Good Standing
- CSD registration with compliant tax status
- B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Completed SBD forms (SBD4 and SBD6.1)
All quotations must remain valid for 60 days. The successful bidder will be subject to SIU integrity screening and State Security Agency vetting.
