The National Radioactive Waste Disposal Institute (NRWDI) invites quotations from experienced service providers for professional photographic services. This RFQ, NRWDI/COMM/2026-07, seeks a photographer to capture high-quality portraits of its Board and Executive members for official corporate use.
The NRWDI is a State-owned entity mandated to manage South Africa’s radioactive waste disposal safely and sustainably. It operates the Vaalputs National Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility and is advancing projects like the Centralised Interim Storage Facility and Deep Geological Repository . Scope of Work
The photoshoot is scheduled for 31 July 2026 and will be conducted at the NRWDI offices. The photographer is expected to arrive at least an hour early to set up. Requirements include:
- Professional lighting, backdrops, and photographic equipment
- High-resolution photographs (minimum 5MB, 300dpi) in both head-and-shoulders and full-length formats
- Professional editing, retouching, and image processing
- Delivery of final photographs on a memory stick/disc and in digital formats
- Travel to the NRWDI offices in Pelindaba (within 30km of Pretoria Central)
Mandatory Submission Requirements
To be considered responsive, bidders must submit:
- Previous work samples
- At least two reference or recommendation letters from previous clients
- ID copies of the owners/directors as reflected on CIPC, CSD Report, or BBBEE Certificate/Affidavit
- Completed SBD forms (SBD 4 & SBD 6.1)
- Valid BBBEE certificate or affidavit (if applicable)
Evaluation Criteria
The evaluation will be conducted in three phases. At the closing stage, mandatory requirements will be assessed. The 80/20 preference point system will then be applied:
- Price: 80 points
- Specific Goals: 20 points (Enterprise owned by Black People and Women)
At the award stage, tax compliance and bidders not listed on the Register of Restricted Suppliers or Tender Defaulters Register will be checked.
