The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation Limited (Necsa) invites qualified manufacturers to bid on Request for Bid FIN-SCM-TEN-0228 for the three-year manufacturing and supply of packaging drums. This strategic open tender supports Necsa’s nuclear energy operations at the Pelindaba facility in Madibeng Municipality, North West province.
Scope of Work
The scope includes manufacturing and supply of packaging drums as specified in Annexure A (Drawing) and Annexure B (Artwork).
Required items:
- 20L Drum: Plate 0.5mm thick, mild steel, 20 Litre drum Ø 286mm, 2000 0.5mm Tintplate Tapered KEG 286mm, KEG Lid with flow in gasket, decorated with NTP Artwork (Drawing No. H5201-00-00)
- 20L Type A Drum Locking Ring: Material Grade Commercial, developed length 995mm, MLR-0159-UN, V-small Profile 286 ring with T35L Lever Action
Estimated annual consumption: 2,000 units per item (6,000 units over three years)
Important notes:
- NTP will appoint an independent third party to conduct quality inspections of drums
- Delivery will be on an as-and-when required basis
- Bidders must identify any obvious omissions from the scope and include these in the price
