The KZN Growth Fund Trust, through its Operation Vula Fund (OVF), invites qualified suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of specialised upholstery equipment and materials for the Ugu Municipality area. This Request for Quotation (RFQ OVF 2026-019-UGU) supports two identified beneficiaries within the municipality.
Tender Overview and Purpose
The tender aims to procure upholstery raw materials, tools, and machinery to support local enterprise development. The appointed service provider will supply and deliver all items to beneficiaries Bongekile Ngesi and Winnie Gwamanda within the Ugu Municipality area.
Quotation Package Breakdown
The tender comprises two distinct quotation packages:
Package 1 – Bongekile Ngesi:
- Upholstery leather in green, red, black, cream, and lemon (40 metres each)
- INGCO Impact Drill 850W x 13mm
- Makita Jigsaw (standard industrial specification)
Package 2 – Winnie Gwamanda:
- Upholstery fabric (50 units)
- Upholstery cotton thread (heavy-duty industrial spools)
- Upholstery scissors (heavy-duty tailor shears)
Bidders must submit unit pricing and total costs for all requested items in both packages.
Mandatory Requirements for Bidders
All quotations must be accompanied by:
- Signed and completed SBD 1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1 forms
- Evidence of registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) with MAAA number
- Tax Compliance Status (SARS PIN) or proof of registration
- Fixed price quotations on company letterhead, inclusive of VAT and all disbursements
Failure to provide any mandatory information will result in the submission being deemed non-responsive.
Evaluation Criteria and Preference Points
Quotations will be evaluated on the 80/20 preference point system:
- Price: 80 points
- Specific Goals: 20 points (allocated for Black ownership, Black women ownership, Black youth ownership, and disability)
Proof for preference points may include BBBEE certificate or affidavit, CSD report, ID documents, municipal account or lease agreement, and doctor’s certificate for disability claims.
