Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality invites suitably qualified service providers to submit tenders for the supply and delivery of office furniture. The project is a once-off contract.
Elias Motsoaledi Municipality Seeks Office Furniture Supplier
The municipality requires a reliable supplier to provide office furniture for its operations. The successful bidder will be responsible for the supply and delivery of all items specified in the bill of quantity.
Scope of Work and Product Requirements
The successful supplier will provide:
- Heavy-duty office chairs with 180kg weight capacity, ergonomic mechanism and PVC upholstery
- Cashier’s chairs with high back mesh spine-back and adjustable foot ring
- Ergonomic office chairs with dynamic lumbar support and footrest
- Executive desks with mahogany veneer finish
- 4-way inten cluster desks with curved design and privacy screens
- Visitors chairs with armrests
- Filing cabinets with three shelves and three doors
- Microwave with 800W power and 30L capacity
- Bar fridge with 90 litre capacity
Mandatory Requirements for Bidders
Bidders must submit the following compulsory documents:
- Fully completed and signed MBD forms (1, 4, 6.1, 8 and 9)
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration full report (not summary)
- Valid CIPC registration certificate
- Valid CIPC Abridged Certificate for Annual Returns
- Company profile with client details, services provided and award amounts
- Original certified copies of directors’ identity documents not older than 6 months
- Proof of municipal rates and taxes for company and all directors not in arrears for more than 90 days
- Joint Venture agreement if applicable
Functional Evaluation Criteria and Scoring
Bidders will be evaluated on functionality with a minimum qualifying score of 56 points out of 80. The criteria include:
- Company experience with appointment letters and reference letters for supply and delivery (50 points)
- Delivery turnaround time with signed delivery notes (30 points)
Price and Preference Point Evaluation
The 80/20 preference point system will apply, with 80 points allocated for price and 20 points for specific goals. Preference points will be awarded for companies at least 51% owned by Black people (10 points) and companies 51% owned by people living in rural underdeveloped areas (10 points).

How to Submit Your Bid
Submit your completed tender document in a sealed envelope marked with the tender number and description to the Tender Box No. 03 at the Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality Main Offices, 2nd Grober Avenue, Groblersdal, before 02 October 2026 at 11:00. Late bids will not be accepted.
