MINTEK invites suitably qualified and experienced legal firms to submit proposals for the provision of a legal services panel. This strategic three-year contract aims to establish a reliable network of external attorneys to support the organization’s operational and governance mandates.
Scope of Legal Services
The appointed panel will provide ad hoc legal support to MINTEK. Key deliverables include:
- Managing legal risk and reducing exposure to litigation.
- Providing expert legal advice to the MINTEK Board and executive management.
- Ensuring strict compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Assisting with contractual disputes, arbitration, mediation, and employee relations matters.

- Completed MTF 01, MTF 02, MTF 03, MTF 04, MTF 05, and MTF 06 forms
- SBD 4 and SBD 6.1 forms
- Joint Venture, Consortium, or Partnership agreement (if applicable)

Mandatory Requirements
To qualify for evaluation, bidders must meet strict pre-qualification criteria. Submissions must include proof of registration as a legal practice under the Legal Practice Act of 2014, valid Fidelity Fund Certificates for all practicing attorneys, and proof of patent prosecution registration (if applicable). Bids will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system, with a minimum functionality threshold of 70 points required to proceed to price evaluation.
