    Sentech Seeks Security Providers for North West Framework Agreement

    Sentech Limited invites qualified security service providers to submit proposals for a strategic three-year framework agreement. Issued in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, this initiative aims to deploy security guards on an “as and when” required basis across the North-West province, ensuring the safety and integrity of Sentech’s regional assets and critical infrastructure.

    Scope of Services

    The appointed panel will provide comprehensive, rotational security solutions tailored to operational demands. Key deliverables include:

    • Armed and unarmed guarding services.
    • Staff escorting and vehicle patrolling.
    • Rapid response and access control management.

    Compulsory Briefing Session

    Attendance at the virtual pre-tender briefing is strictly mandatory. Bidders failing to attend and formally register their proposals will be automatically disqualified from the evaluation process.

    Mandatory Requirements

    • Valid PSIRA registration certificate for the Company
    • Valid PSIRA registration certificates for Directors
    • Valid PSIRA letter of Good Standing
    • Valid National Bargaining Council for the Private Security Service Sector (NBCPSS) affiliation letter of good standing
    • Valid Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF) letter of good standing
    • Valid Public Liability insurance minimum R10,000,000
    • Valid Letter of Good Standing with Department of Labour’s Compensation Commissioner (COIDA)
    • Valid proof of UIF good standing (EMP201)
    • Valid proof of presence in North West area

    Evaluation Criteria

    Proposals will undergo a rigorous multi-stage evaluation using a two-envelope system. Bidders must achieve a minimum threshold of 55 out of 75 points in the functional evaluation stage to qualify for price assessment. The final stage applies the applicable preferential procurement point system (80/20 or 90/10). All bids must remain valid for 90 days from the closing date.

    Submission Guidelines

    Bids must be submitted via the Sentech eTender Portal (maximum file size: 30MB) or deposited physically in the tender box at Sentech Offices, 01 Octave Road, Radiokop Ext 3, Honeydew, Johannesburg, during working hours (08:30–15:30). Late, emailed, or faxed submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
