The Eastern Cape Department of Public Works and Infrastructure has issued an open tender (SCMU5-26/27-0010 AMR INF) for a two-year term contract for the supply, servicing, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing in Cluster 5. This strategic contract targets qualified contractors to support critical infrastructure in the Idutywa Service Office, Ngqamakhwe Multipurpose Centre, and Dutywa Cluster Offices.
Scope of Works and Facilities
The contract involves comprehensive plumbing services across various facilities. The scope includes but is not limited to:
General Maintenance Work:
- Removal and replacement of existing floor coverings
- Removal and replacement of internal and external wall plaster and finishes
- Cleaning of face brick walls including window cills
- Painting and repairing wall cracks
- Servicing of steel, aluminium and timber windows
- Removal and replacement of glass on steel window frames
- Removal and replacement of timber doors and frames
- Removal and replacement of ceilings and accessories
- Removal and replacement of roofs and guttering
- Cleaning of drainage systems
- Removal and replacement of damaged fence panels
- Fixing damaged paving
- Paintwork
Facilities Covered:
- Idutywa Service Office
- Ngqamakwe Multipurpose Centre
- Dutywa Cluster Offices
Mandatory Compliance and CIDB Requirements
Bidders must hold a valid Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) grading of 3SO or higher in the relevant class of works. The evaluation will follow a two-stage procurement procedure, assessing both administrative compliance and technical capacity. A valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and Tax Compliance Status are strictly required.

Strict Physical Submission Protocols
