The National Lotteries Commission (NLC) has issued Request for Quotation RFQ2026-008-011 for the appointment of a catering service provider for its Education and Awareness Workshop in Mpumalanga. This targeted procurement seeks capable local catering enterprises to support a vital community engagement initiative.
Scope of Works and Service Delivery
The mandate requires the provision of pre-packaged lunches for approximately 150 delegates at Siphokuhle Secondary School in Piet Retief. The menu must include two starch options (such as pap, dumpling, samp, or rice) and two meat options (roasted or grilled chicken, and lamb or beef). The service provider is fully responsible for supplying all cutlery, plates, tablecloths, cups, and serviettes, as well as managing the complete removal of all waste generated on-site.
Mandatory Compliance and Evaluation
Proposals will be evaluated using the 80/20 Preferential Procurement Policy Framework. Eighty points are allocated for price competitiveness, while twenty points are awarded for specific goals, heavily favoring local Mpumalanga-based businesses and compliant B-BBEE status levels. Bids must remain valid for 60 days from the closing date.
Strict Electronic Submission Protocols
In strict alignment with NLC’s digital procurement policies, all quotations and supporting documents must be submitted exclusively via the National Treasury’s e-Tender portal. Emailed or hard-copy submissions will not be considered under any circumstances.
