Scope of Work
The project involves the repair and replacement of storm-damaged roofing elements. The building measures 650m² . The appointed contractor will be required to:
- Repair roof elements where necessary
- Replace damaged roof sheeting
- Provide an Occupational Health and Safety file (focusing on working at heights and roof repair safety)
- Conduct a comprehensive site assessment and quote accordingly
Mandatory Gatekeeping Requirements
Bidders must provide the following for evaluation. Failure to comply will result in disqualification:
- Fully completed Pricing Schedule/BOQ
- Valid and active CIDB certificate (minimum grade 1GB or 1SN)
- Public Liability Insurance: Proof of comprehensive cover to a minimum value of R2 million (quotes will not be accepted)
- SBD Documents: Completed and signed SBD1 and SBD4 forms
- COIDA: Valid Letter of Good Standing
- CSD: Proof of active registration on the Central Supplier Database
Preference Points and Evaluation
The 80/20 preference point system applies. Bidders who do not submit proof for specific goals will score zero points for those criteria.
- ≥51% Black owned: 10 points
- ≥51% Youth owned: 5 points
- ≥51% Women owned: 3 points
- ≥1% owned by disabled person(s): 2 points
