The Cape Winelands District Municipality (CWDM) has published an open tender for the supply and delivery of protective clothing and uniforms for its support personnel. This presents a focused opportunity for garment suppliers to secure a 12-month contract with a leading Western Cape municipality.

The tender, identified as T 2026/017, is open for submissions until 24 July 2026 at 11:00. Bids must be deposited in the tender box at the CWDM offices at 29 Du Toit Street, Stellenbosch. The contract will run for a period of 12 months, covering uniforms for approximately 20 support staff members and one Mayoral Driver. Scope of Work
The successful service provider will supply uniforms for three categories of personnel:
- Driver Messengers (Men’s Items): Short and long sleeve shirts, golf shirts, jeans, windbreakers, soft shell jackets, body warmers, belts, peak caps, beanies, scarves, fingerless gloves, socks, shoes, and ankle boots
- General Assistants (Ladies’ Items): Blouses, golf shirts, jeans, windbreakers, soft shell jackets, body warmers, belts, peak caps, beanies, scarves, fingerless gloves, socks, shoes, sandals, and ankle boots
- Mayoral Driver (Men’s Items): 2-piece suit, shirts, golf shirts, trousers, jeans, windbreaker, soft shell jacket, jersey, pullover, belt, cap, beanie, scarf, tie, fingerless gloves, socks, shoes, and ankle boots
Minimum Requirements
Sizes must be available from 30 to 52, including exceptionally small and large sizes. Specific fabrics and colours are prescribed for each item. All garments must feature the CWDM logo embroidered as required.

- SBD 1: Invitation to Bid form
- SBD 4: Declaration of Interest form
- SBD 6.1: Preference Points Claim Form
- MBD 8: Declaration of Bidder’s Past Supply Chain Management Practices
- MBD 9: Certificate of Independent Bid Determination
- Tax Compliance PIN: Valid SARS tax clearance
- COIDA Certificate: Valid Letter of Good Standing
- CSD Registration: Proof of registration on the Central Supplier Database
- Municipal Account: Certified copy not older than 90 days (or alternative proof)
- Company Profile: With relevant experience and reference letters

Preference Points and Evaluation
The bid will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference system, where 80 points are for price and 20 for specific goals.
