The Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) has issued Request for Quotation RFQ51 AM (26/27) for the supply and delivery of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in Kimberley. This targeted procurement aims to equip DFFE officials in the Northern Cape with essential occupational safety gear and branded workwear.
Scope of Supply and Fitting Requirements
The appointed supplier will supply and deliver a comprehensive range of uniform items and PPE to the Public Works Building (The White House) in Kimberley . The required items include:
- Unisex Conti Suits (17 pairs): Castleton Green, 100% Cotton D59 flame retardant and acid-resistant fabric with DFFE embroidery branding
- Unisex Parka Jackets (22 units): Water-resistant polyester with PVC coating, polar fleece lining, and stowaway hood
- Unisex Chino Trousers (36 units): 65/35% Polycotton Twill, Castleton Green
- Unisex Short Sleeved Golf Shirts (44 units): 100% Polyester with moisture management fabric
- Unisex Short Sleeved T-Shirts (44 units): 65/35% cotton twill
- Wide Brim Sunhats (22 units): 100% Brushed cotton with metal eyelets
- Safety Specs (22 units): UV protection, anti-fog, anti-scratch, anti-static
- Safety Leather Boots (13 pairs): Waterproof leather with rubber soles
- Snake Gaiters (17 pairs): 600 D heavy duty nylon, water resistant
Quality Assurance and Branding Standards
Bidders must adhere to strict quality control and branding protocols. The winning supplier will be required to present physical samples for approval before the final bulk purchase is authorized. Furthermore, the total cost of ownership must include the customization of garments with official DFFE logos, with specific sizes and colours to be provided upon award.
Packaging and Delivery Protocols
To maintain organization and ease of distribution, each individual item must be packaged separately in its own dedicated box. Deliveries must be made directly to the Back Entrance of the Public Works Building (The White House) in the Kimberley CBD.
