Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) has issued Request for Quotation RFQ 54103 for the provision of Christmas décor for the 2026/2027 festive season. This comprehensive national contract targets experienced event and décor specialists to elevate the festive ambiance across South Africa’s premier aviation hubs.
Scope of Works and National Footprint
The appointed service provider will handle the full project lifecycle for all nine ACSA airports :
- Installation: Set up of existing Christmas decorations with secure electrical cords and non-hazardous covers
- Maintenance: Ongoing upkeep throughout the display period, with malfunctioning items repaired or replaced within three days of notification
- Removal: Complete removal within seven days following the end of the display period
- Waste Disposal: Proper disposal of all waste, leaving areas clean and debris-free
- Equipment: Supply of all necessary equipment including lifts and tools
- Stock Audit: Detailed stock audit for each airport following appointment
The service provider must also develop a Christmas campaign concept for all nine airports, including marketing collateral, printing, and setup, and compile a comprehensive closeout report with Return on Investment (ROI) analysis .
Project Timeline
- Installation Period: 1 November 2026 to 30 November 2026
- Display Period: 1 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 (with official Christmas lighting on 1 December)
- Removal Period: 7 January 2027 to 13 January 2027
- 24/7 Availability: Required throughout the display period for urgent requirements

The project covers nine airports :
- O.R. Tambo International Airport
- King Shaka International Airport
- Cape Town International Airport
- Bram Fischer International Airport
- King Phalo Airport
- George Airport
- Kimberley Airport
- Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport
- Upington International Airport
Work hours vary by airport. At O.R. Tambo International Airport, work is only permitted between 22h00 and 04h00. Bidders must demonstrate capacity for simultaneous installations across all sites.

- COIDA: Valid Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act certificate
- Health and Safety Pack: Comprehensive, project-specific file compliant with ACSA standards
- Detailed Project Approach: Including design ideas and features to enhance festive décor

Note: Bidders must ensure all conditions, documents, and information remain valid for the duration of the contract period. Updated documents must be submitted immediately when information changes.
Compulsory Virtual Briefing Session
Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Bidders who fail to attend will be automatically disqualified from the evaluation process.

Electronic Submission Protocols
