Dannhauser Local Municipality invites qualified travel management companies to submit quotations for appointment to a panel of travelling agencies. This strategic three-year contract aims to streamline municipal travel arrangements and ensure cost-effective, professional service delivery for official travel needs across KwaZulu-Natal.
Scope of Services and Contract Duration
The appointed panel will provide comprehensive travel management services including air travel bookings, accommodation arrangements, car rentals, conference venue bookings, visa and passport processing, bus fare arrangements, foreign exchange services, and 24-hour support. The contract spans 36 months, offering sustained partnership opportunities for established travel agencies.
Mandatory Compliance and Accreditation
Only recognized Travel Management Companies holding official membership with both IATA (International Air Transport Association) and ASATA (Association of South African Travel Agents) will be considered. Bidders must demonstrate:
- Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration
- CIPC registration certificates
- Certified director ID copies not older than three months
- Municipal rates and taxes not in arrears for more than three months
Evaluation and Preference Points
Quotations will be evaluated using the 80/20 preferential procurement system. Specific goal points are allocated for enterprises more than 51% owned by black people (10 points) and enterprises located within KwaZulu-Natal (10 points), promoting local economic development and transformation.

Submission Guidelines and Deadlines
Sealed quotations must be deposited in the tender box at the security room of Dannhauser Municipal Offices by 12:00 on 15 July 2026. Quotations must remain valid for 120 days from the closing date.
