Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Limited (ATNS) invites qualified telecommunications suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of cables, connectors, and attenuators. This Request for Quotation (ATNS/RFQ/12/2025/281_RF CONNECTORS_Readvert) targets established distributors capable of delivering quality RF components over a five-year, as-and-when-required, rate-based contract to support ATNS’s critical air traffic management infrastructure at King Shaka International Airport.
Product Specifications and Technical Requirements
The procurement encompasses essential RF components for aeronautical communication systems, including:
- Coaxial cables: LMR 195, LMR 400, RG 58, RG-213, RG-223 (100m rolls)
- High-performance cables: 1/2 inch HiFlex 50 Ohm corrugated low-loss, 7/8 inch corrugated RF cable
- Data cabling: CAT 5e (all colours, 100m rolls)
- Stainless steel cable ties (various sizes, 100-pack)
- RF connectors, attenuators, and associated accessories
- All items must carry minimum one-year manufacturer warranties with defects replaced at supplier cost
Eligibility and Submission Criteria
Bidders must demonstrate:
- Valid registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Proven experience in supplying telecommunications or RF components to aviation, government, or corporate clients
- Completed Standard Bidding Documents and pricing schedules
- Valid tax compliance status and B-BBEE verification certificate or sworn affidavit
- Proof of supply arrangements with manufacturers or accredited distributors
Pricing and Evaluation Framework
Quotations will be evaluated using a three-stage process: administrative compliance, mandatory technical requirements, then price and specific goals using the 80/20 preference point system. All prices must be firm, quoted in South African Rand, inclusive of VAT, and remain valid for 60 days from submission.

Quotations must be submitted electronically to RFQs@atns.co.za (cc: MandisaM@atns.co.za) by the closing deadline. Submissions should include the RFQ reference number in the email subject line, completed pricing schedules, and all supporting documentation in PDF format. Late, faxed, or incomplete submissions will not be considered.
ATNS reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation and is not bound to appoint the lowest-priced bidder. Successful appointment is subject to verification of all documentation, proof of product authenticity and warranty coverage, and compliance with ATNS supply chain management policies. Delivery lead times must be clearly indicated from date of purchase order issuance.
