Service Requirements: Pre-Packed Savoury Boxes for 60 Guests
The scope of work requires the successful catering provider to facilitate in-house catering for 60 people with strict adherence to Halaal certification requirements. The service must be delivered punctually to support Artscape’s executive meeting schedule.
Mandatory menu specifications for each savoury box:
- One chicken drumstick
- Assorted pastries: Mini mince pie, samoosa, half moon (chicken)
- One mini beef burger
- One mini dessert
- One cool drink per person (Coke, Fanta, Appletiser or equivalent)
- Napkins included per serving
All catering must be Halaal-certified, and suppliers must submit a valid Halaal Certificate with their quotation. The service is for pre-packed boxes only; no on-site food preparation or buffet service is required.
Eligibility and Mandatory Documentation
Prospective service providers must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) at www.csd.gov.za. Registration is mandatory, and a copy of the supplier’s BBBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit must accompany the quotation.

Evaluation Criteria: 80/20 Preference Point System
As the total value of this RFQ is estimated to be below R500,000, Artscape will apply the 80/20 preferential point system. This means 80% of the evaluation score is based on price, while the remaining 20% is allocated based on the supplier’s B-BBEE status level. This system favours competitive pricing combined with a strong B-BBEE contribution.
