    PetroSA Seeks Gardening Services Provider for Head Office

    The Petroleum Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) has published an open tender for professional gardening services at its corporate headquarters in Parow, Cape Town. This represents a significant opportunity for landscaping and horticulture service providers.

    Comprehensive Scope of Services

    The successful bidder will be responsible for maintaining the grounds at 151 Frans Conradie Drive, covering a wide range of activities:

    • Weekly lawn mowing and edge trimming (August to April), fortnightly in winter months
    • Ongoing weeding, shrub trimming, and annual pruning of roses, shrubs, and trees
    • Daily sweeping of reception areas and twice-weekly cleaning of lawns, driveways, and parking areas
    • Bi-annual planting of seedlings and application of compost, mulch, insecticides, and herbicides as required
    • Maintenance of indoor and balcony flower boxes, including watering, fertilising, pest control, and plant replacement
    • Cleaning of fountains, water features, and the field area on the north-western side of the building

    Personnel and Resource Requirements

    The service provider must supply the following on-site personnel:

    • 1 x Supervisor daily
    • 4 x Gardening staff daily
    • 2 x General workers (ad hoc basis)

    All staff must be suitably qualified, with one qualified horticulturist visiting the site fortnightly. Personnel must be able to read and understand safety signage, and PetroSA reserves the right to evaluate, test, and interview all designated staff prior to commencement. The supplier must provide all tools, equipment, and safety apparel required for the services.

    Mandatory CSD and eProcurement Registration

    All tenders and quotations are conducted via PetroSA’s eProcurement system. Suppliers must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a valid MAAA number to access the full set of tender documentation . New suppliers must complete a two-phase registration process: self-registration on the CSD portal (www.csd.gov.za), followed by registration on PetroSA’s internal portal at www.procurement.petrosa.com .

    Submission and Login Instructions

    Registered suppliers with a MAAA CSD number can log in using their existing credentials (Username: MAAA…, User Code: MAAA…, Password: newuser) . If not registered, click “Not Registered Yet” and complete the process using the Supplier Self-Registration guide .

    Pricing and Contract Duration

    The contract requires a lump sum fixed monthly price for the comprehensive services, with a detailed breakdown of all cost components. The supplier’s rates must be fully inclusive of all costs, including protective clothing, statutory contributions, and employee benefits. Additional ad hoc services, such as two general workers for maintenance or office moving support, will be charged separately upon request and prior written agreement.
