Onderstepoort Biological Products Limited (OBP) invites qualified waste management service providers to submit quotations for integrated waste management services at its Pretoria facility. This six-month contract opportunity, reference RFQ/OBP023/2026/27, targets compliant operators capable of handling biological, chemical, and general waste streams within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Scope of Services Required
The appointed provider will manage:
- Collection, segregation, treatment, and lawful disposal of biological and chemical waste
- Operation of on-site autoclave for waste sterilisation
- Provision of a dedicated waste sorter/operator (Mon-Fri, 07:30–16:00)
- Ad-hoc general waste collection and transportation to licensed facilities
- Monthly reporting with certificates of safe disposal and destruction
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
Bidders must submit:
- Valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) report (not older than 2 months)
- Completed and signed SBD4 Bidders Disclosure form
- Valid waste transporter permit (General/Hazardous)
- Gauteng Waste Information System registration proof
- Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) File with risk assessments
Evaluation and Preference Points
Quotations will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system: 80 points for price competitiveness and 20 points for specific goals including B-BBEE status and local enterprise participation. Only compliant submissions meeting all mandatory criteria will proceed to final evaluation.
Submission Guidelines and Deadline
Submit sealed proposals to Purchasing@obpvaccines.co.za by 16:00 on Thursday, 21 May 2026. Late, faxed, or emailed submissions will not be considered. Ensure all documentation is complete, signed, and references RFQ number RFQ/OBP023/2026/27.
