Scope of Work: Fresh Meat Delivery Requirements
The successful supplier will deliver fresh meat to Tutuka Power Station Catering Services Department once per week as per order placement instructions.
Core delivery requirements:
- Monday to Thursday deliveries not later than 15H00; Friday deliveries before 11H00
- All fresh meat delivered using enclosed delivery trucks in good condition with no leaking oils
- Vehicles must have refrigeration with thermometer for temperature control during transit
- Storeman will record truck temperature upon delivery
- No meat loaded on open vehicles; all stock must be covered or packed in sealed boxes
- All stock packaged in undamaged boxes
- Inspection on delivery; stock not meeting quality standards or with expiry dates less than two weeks will not be accepted
- No substitute brands accepted
Product categories include:
- Beef products: oxtail, mincemeat, boerewors, short ribs, brisket, steaks, stewing beef
- Lamb products: stewing bone-in, loin chops, shoulder chops, shank, sausages, patties
- Pork products: chops, shanks, rashers, sausages, marinated ribs
- Chicken products: quarter legs, breasts, wings, livers, whole chickens, patties
- Other items: hake fillets, beef patties, braai packs, cold meats, biltong
Mandatory Eligibility and Compliance Requirements
Prospective bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) and comply with all tax obligations.

- Tax Compliance Status PIN code from SARS
