Product Specifications and Technical Requirements
The successful service provider will supply and install 55 units of wall-mounted hair dryers meeting specific technical standards. Units must feature 1800W power output, 230V 50/60Hz compatibility, and wall-mountable design with secure bracketing.
Mandatory product features include:
- ALCI safety plug to prevent electrical shock
- Automatic over-heating protection system with auto shut-off
- Two heat and speed settings plus cool shot button
- Compact, tamper-resistant design with coiled cord
- Easy-to-clean filter and durable plastic housing
- Electrical insulation class II IP21 suitable for bathroom zone 3 installation
All materials used must be SABS/SANS approved. The contractor must provide a two-year warranty on all installed units and issue a Certificate of Compliance after completion.
Mandatory Eligibility and Compliance Documentation
Prospective bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database and hold valid CIDB grading of 1 EB or higher. A Letter of Good Standing and comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety file are mandatory submission requirements.
