The Limpopo Provincial Treasury (LPT) has issued an open tender (LPT 008/2026) for the procurement of hygienic products and services for a period of thirty-six (36) months. This strategic procurement initiative aims to ensure the consistent maintenance of high hygiene standards across various provincial government buildings, promoting a safe, healthy, and compliant working environment for public servants and visitors alike.
Scope of Services
The successful service provider will be responsible for the comprehensive rendering of hygienic maintenance services across multiple designated sites, including Ismini Towers, Finance House, Internal Audit Buildings, and various district offices (Mopani, Vhembe, Sekhukhune, Waterberg) as well as the Lebowakgomo Training Centre. Key deliverables include:
- Installation, maintenance, and regular servicing of sanitary bins and automatic sanitizer dispensers.
- Routine replacement of batteries for all battery-operated hygienic equipment.
- Provision of all necessary hygienic consumables and products as specified in the tender document.
- Ensuring continuity of services with professional diligence, adhering to industry best practices and provincial governing standards.
Compulsory Briefing Session
Attendance at the physical, face-to-face briefing session is strictly mandatory. Failure to attend or send an authorized representative will result in the immediate invalidation of the bid. The session is scheduled for Friday, 06 November 2026, at 11:00. It will be held at the 1st Floor Foyer, Ismini Towers, 46 Hans Van Rensburg Street, Polokwane, 0699.
Mandatory Compliance Requirements
To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a stringent compliance package demonstrating operational legitimacy. Essential documentation includes:
- A valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report reflecting an active MAAA status.
- A current SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN.
- A valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
- Proof of compliance with Section 30 of the Public Service Act, 1994, ensuring that natural persons constituting the bidder meet all legal requirements.
- A commitment to render services with due care, skill, and diligence, monitored against set targets, costs, and timeframes.
Evaluation and Pricing Criteria
Proposals will be adjudicated using the 80/20 preference point system, allocating 80 points for price competitiveness and 20 points for specific transformation goals. Bidders must note a critical special condition: the contract price is fixed for the entire 36-month duration. The service provider may under no circumstances approach or request the LPT for an increase in the contract price during the contract term. Non-firm prices or prices subject to exchange rate variations will not be considered.
