- Protective Garments: Flame-retardant overalls, two-piece rain suits, freezer jackets, windbreakers, high-visibility reflective wear, and standard uniform shirts
- Footwear: Steel-toe and composite-toe safety boots, gumboots, and casual safety shoes
- Head & Eye Protection: Hard hats with integrated face shields, safety goggles, sun hats, and winter beanies
- Hand & Body Protection: Insulated rubber gloves, leather protector gloves, nitrile/polyester work gloves, and chainsaw protective kits
- Respiratory & Hearing Protection: SABS-approved dust masks, respirators with active carbon filters, and noise-reduction ear muffs
- Specialized Gear: Fall arrest harnesses, arc-rated suits, and emergency response apparel
All items must meet strict SABS and CE certification standards, with specific fabric compositions enforced for safety compliance.
Evaluation and Preference Points
Bids will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system. Price accounts for 80 points, while 20 points are allocated to socio-economic goals, including location-based claims, women-owned enterprises, youth-owned businesses, and disability ownership.
