South Cape TVET College has published a Request for Quotation for the supply and delivery of occupational programme equipment to its Oudtshoorn Campus. This is a once-off procurement opportunity for catering and hospitality equipment suppliers.
Scope of Work and Equipment List
The tender covers the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of catering equipment for the Hospitality Cook and Chef occupational programmes. The equipment list includes:
- Single door display fridge (338L): 2 units
- Stock pot (25L): 2 units
- Stainless steel conical sauce pans (1.45L): 18 units
- Aluminium fry pans (240mm): 18 units
- Aluminium casserole pots (6L and 2.4L): 18 each
- Cooling trays (600 x 400mm): 16 units
- Glass measuring jugs (1L): 16 units
- Wooden rolling pins: 16 units
- Single mesh strainers (260mm): 16 units
- Heavy duty 4-sided graters: 16 units
- Measuring spoon sets: 16 units
- Ramekins (9cm): 30 units
- Full silicone spatulas: 16 units
- Caramel moulds (70 x 45mm): 30 units
- White round side plates (16cm): 16 units
- White footed round main dinner plates (23/25cm): 16 units
- White oblong/rectangular main plates (29 x 15cm): 16 units
- White soup bowls (17cm): 16 units
- White coupe dessert plates (22cm): 16 units
Bidders must include product data sheets, certifications, and warranty information in their submission.
Mandatory Documentation
Bidders must submit the following to be considered:
- Valid Tax Pin Certificate
- Company registration documents (CIPRO) with member percentages
- Share certificates and shareholding breakdown (race, gender, percentages)
- Valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit
- Company profile and/or evidence of relevant experience
- Latest municipal account or valid lease agreement
- Declaration of Interest (SBD 4)
- Relevant certifications or manufacturer/authorised distributor documentation
- Completed Pricing Schedule with detailed breakdown
Technical Requirements
The successful bidder must demonstrate:
- Capacity to provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, and after-sales services for the duration of the warranty and service period
- Ability to install equipment and integrate with utilities (electrical, gas, water)
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
- Qualified personnel wearing appropriate PPE during installation
Warranty Requirements
- 2-year warranty on large equipment (electrical, gas, and battery powered)
- 12-month warranty on small equipment
Evaluation and Preference Points
The RFQ follows an 80/20 preference point system, with specific goals based on geographical location:
- Garden Route area: 10 points
- Western Cape area: 5 points
- Outside Western Cape: 0 points
