The National Transmission Company South Africa (NTCSA) has published an open Request for Bid (RFB) for the supply and delivery of groceries and consumables to its Apollo and Centralised Services (CS) Business Unit . The tender, designated E3421NTCSAMWPA, seeks to establish a reliable supply chain for essential staff refreshments and cleaning materials for a five-year period .
Tender Overview
The primary objective is to appoint a suitably qualified supplier to ensure an uninterrupted supply of grocery items on an “as and when” required basis . Bids must be submitted electronically via the NTCSA e-Tendering site by 25 September 2026 at 11:00 AM. A non-compulsory virtual briefing session is scheduled for 10 September 2026 at 11:00 AM via Microsoft Teams.
Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will be responsible for the procurement and delivery of a wide range of items, including:
- Kitchen Items: Coffee (Ricoffy, Nescafe, Jacobs), tea (Rooibos, Five Roses, Joko), milk, sugar, and creamer.
- Cleaning and Detergent Products: Dishwashing liquid, sanitary cleaner, surface cleaner, bleach, air freshener, and refuse bags.
- Sanitary Consumables: Toilet paper, industrial paper towel, and kitchen paper towel.
The estimated quantities over the contract period are valued at approximately R5.18 million.
Key Requirements
Bidders must submit a comprehensive price list in both PDF and Excel formats. The contract will be governed by the NEC3 Supply Contract, and the evaluation process will be based on the 80/20 preference point system for price and specific goals.
