Limpopo’s Department of Sport, Arts and Culture has opened a three-year tender for a service provider to supply and deliver personnel protective clothing under bid DSAC2026/27-B10.
Published on 7 August 2026, the tender closes on Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at 11:00. Delivery is required at 21 Biccard Street, Olympic Towers Building, Polokwane. No briefing session is scheduled.
Scope of work
The successful bidder will be required to supply and deliver a comprehensive range of personnel protective clothing to the Department.
Male Conti Suits:
- Two-piece jacket and trouser in dark blue, yellow, or sky blue with traditional cloth collars
- Departmental logo embroidered on left breast pocket
- 80/20 Poly Cotton, 200gsm fabric
- Concealed aluminium zips and overlocked stitching
- Sizes 30 to 48
Female Conti Suits:
- Two-piece jacket and trouser with traditional cloth collars
- Departmental logo embroidery
- Same specifications as male suits
Unisex Dust Coats:
- Long sleeve with departmental logo on front
- Back embroidery for Library Services, Museums, Heritage, EPWP, Records Management
- 65/35 Poly Cotton, 235gsm fabric
- Double concealed press stud closures
Conti Suits with Reflective Strips:
- Jacket with permanent back embroidery
- Reflective strips on arms and legs
- 80/20 Poly Cotton, 200gsm fabric
Heavy Duty Knit Wrist PVC Gloves:
- Rough palm for greasy and wet environments
- One size fits all
Sun Brim Hats:
- 100% Cotton fabric with departmental logo
- Sizes: Small (56cm) to Extra-large (62cm)
Protective Accessories:
- Anti-fog safety goggles with UV protection
- 2 Tone reflective safety jackets with detachable sleeves
- Safety helmets/hardhats with adjustable straps
- Genuine leather safety boots with steel toe caps
- Dust masks FFP1
- High visibility reflective vests
- Heavy duty socks (60% Cotton)
- Beanies (100% Acrylic)
- Light jackets with quilted lining
- Rubberised raincoats
Key specifications
Suppliers must price the requirements for each of the three contract years using firm prices. The bid document states that delivery costs must be included in quoted prices, while the offer remains valid for 120 days from closing. Products must meet the descriptions and branding requirements in the pricing schedule.

- SBD 1 invitation and supplier information
- SBD 3.1 firm-price schedule
- SBD 4 bidder disclosure
- SBD 6.1 preference points claim form
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN or applicable CSD details
Supporting Documents:
- Company registration documents
- Joint Venture/Consortium agreement (if applicable)
- Reference letters from satisfied clients
- Proof of experience in PPE supply to government or large organizations
- Financial statements or proof of financial stability
Preference points
Tender uses the 80/20 preference system, with 80 points for price and 20 for specific goals. Points recognise qualifying ownership by Black people, women, youth, people with disabilities, military veterans, and rural or township businesses. Evidence is required where applicable.
