    Western Cape Health Seeks 5-Year Stationery Supply Provider

    The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness has issued an open tender (WCGHSC0483/2026) for the supply and delivery of stationery items to all government health facilities across the province. This strategic five-year contract targets capable office supply distributors to support the daily administrative operations of the provincial healthcare network.

    Scope of Works and Regional Coverage

    The mandate encompasses the comprehensive provisioning of stationery to hospitals, institutions, and district offices across five distinct regions: Metro, Cape Winelands, Overberg, West Coast, and Eden & Central Karoo. Suppliers must ensure sufficient stock is on hand and guarantee complete delivery within 14 calendar days of an official order.

    Mandatory Requirements and Sample Submission

    Bidders must meet specific requirements to be considered:

    • CSD Registration: Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) at bid closing .
    • Minimum Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in the supply and delivery of stationery items, supported by current references and copies of orders .
    • Manufacturer Agreement: If not a manufacturer, provide written proof from your supplier(s) confirming they can supply you for the contract duration .
    • Samples: All stationery item samples must be delivered to the Bellville GENSES Building before the bid closes at 11:00 on 28 August 2026. Samples must be clearly marked with the bid number, item number, and bidder’s details . A written proof of sample delivery must be included in the bid document .

    Strict Physical Submission Protocols

    Sealed bid documents must be deposited in the designated bid box marked “Department of Health” at the main entrance of the Supply Chain Management Offices (M9 building) on the Karl Bremer Hospital premises. The bid box is accessible Mondays to Fridays from 06:00 to 17:00. Emailed, faxed, or late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
