The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources (DMPR) has issued an open tender (DMPR/008/2026/27) for the appointment of a service provider to deliver comprehensive cleaning, hygiene, pest control, and boardroom support services. This strategic 24-month contract targets qualified facility management firms to maintain a safe, professional, and compliant environment at the DMPR’s Polokwane Regional Office.
Scope of Works and Facility Support
The appointed service provider will manage a 2,040 m² office space, including common areas, ablutions, kitchens, boardrooms, and storerooms. The scope covers daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning, hygiene services (including sanitary bins and consumables), pest control, and boardroom support.
The bidder must deploy four trained personnel (three cleaners and one supervisor) and provide relief staff for any absences. The service provider must be registered with DALRRD for pest control, hold valid COIDA and UIF registration, and possess public liability insurance.
Service Standards and Deliverables
The service provider must ensure all areas are maintained to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Key deliverables include:
- Daily: Dusting, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, waste removal, and mopping floors.
- Weekly: Vacuuming carpets, cleaning kitchen appliances, and descaling toilets.
- Monthly: Cleaning blinds and vacuuming upholstered furniture.
- Quarterly: Deep cleaning of carpets, polishing hard floors, cleaning air conditioning vents, and comprehensive fumigation.
Compulsory Site Briefing Session
Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid site inspection and clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Bidders must sign the official attendance register on-site. Failure to attend and sign will result in the immediate disqualification of the bid.
