The Limpopo Department of Economic Development, Environment and Tourism (LEDET) has issued an open tender (EDET322/2026) for the appointment of a service provider to render physical security services across various provincial sites. This strategic 36-month contract is critical for safeguarding government assets, nature reserves, and revenue offices throughout the province.
Scope of Work and Cluster Allocations
The appointed provider will deliver comprehensive 24-hour physical security services, including day and night shifts, access control, and asset protection. The mandate is divided into seven regional clusters, notably including:
- Cluster 11: Head Office (Evridiki Towers) and Seshego Revenue Office.
- Cluster 14: Musina Nature Reserve and Ndzelele Dam Nature Reserve.
- Cluster 15: Mopani revenue offices (Giyani, Tzaneen, Namakgale, etc.).
- Cluster 16: Sekhukhune revenue offices and Potlake Nature Reserve.
Mandatory Compliance and Operational Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) and comply with all applicable labour laws and sectoral determinations. The service provider must guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 coverage across all designated sites, ensuring the safety of officials, tourists, and sensitive government infrastructure.
Required Documentation
Bidders must submit a comprehensive set of mandatory documents with their bid, including:
- SBD 1, SBD 3.1, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1
- Certified copy of valid Firearm Competency Certificates for all directors
- Company Liability Insurance cover
- Valid company PSIRA registration certificate and Grade A/B registration for all directors
- Certified copy of valid good standing with Workman Compensation Fund (COIDA)
- Certified copy of valid firearm license/s in the name of the company
- Certified copy of valid ICASA Communication Radio Licence
- Certified copy of valid company proof of registration with Private Security Sector Provident Fund (PSSPF)
