Artscape, a premier cultural institution in the Western Cape, is seeking qualified catering service providers for an upcoming staff address event scheduled for 10 June 2026. This Request for Quotation (RFQ24/2026) presents an excellent opportunity for established caterers to showcase their capabilities.
The event will accommodate 160 attendees at the prestigious Artscape Theatre, located on DF Malan Street in the Foreshore area of Cape Town. Service providers must deliver comprehensive catering solutions across two distinct venue spaces: the Marble Foyer and Arts Live area.
Comprehensive Service Requirements
Successful bidders will need to provide complete event setup and catering services, including:
- 180 gold Tiffany chairs with elegant gold table runners
- 15 decorative centerpieces
- Full lunch service from 11:30 to 12:00
- Afternoon tea service from 13:00 to 14:30
- All necessary cutlery, crockery, and service equipment
Menu and Catering Specifications
The comprehensive menu features Halaal-certified options including mutton curry with rice and roti, crumbed chicken breast fillet, and assorted roasted vegetables. Additional offerings include crumbed mushrooms, roast potatoes, wedges, cauliflower and broccoli in creamy white sauce, Greek salad with feta and olives, and mushroom sauce.
Beverage service includes various jugged 100% juices, coffee, and teas. The afternoon tea service features cocktail sweet snacks such as chocolate brownies and fancies.
Mandatory Compliance Documentation
Applicants must submit several critical documents with their quotations:
- Valid Halaal Certificate
- Current BBBEE Certificate or Sworn Affidavit
- SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN
- Completed SBD4, SBD6.1, SBD8, and SBD9 forms
Evaluation and Selection Process
The evaluation follows an 80/20 price/preference point system, ensuring fair and transparent assessment of all submissions. Artscape emphasizes that all prices must be firm and VAT inclusive.
