South African National Parks (SANParks) invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for the secure shredding and environmentally compliant disposal of confidential documentation at the Tsitsikamma Section of Garden Route National Park. This Request for Quotation (RFQ 20289/TNP/2026-27) supports the park’s commitment to data protection and sustainable waste management practices.
Key Submission Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate capacity for:
- Secure, on-site or off-site document shredding services
- Certified disposal methods meeting POPIA and environmental standards
- Reliable logistics for Storms River Mouth Camp operations
- Proof of previous experience in confidential document handling
Scope of Work & Sites
Storms River Mouth Rest Camp
- Address: Off N2, Stormsriver Mouth
- Approximate weight: 20,000kg
- Timeframe for on‑site shredding: 3 days
Storms River Stores
- Address: Darnell Street, Stormsriver Village
- Approximate weight: 10,000kg
- Timeframe for on‑site shredding: 1 day
Shredding requirements:
- Machines must be able to shred approximately 1,000kg per hour
- All documents must be shredded on site (or off site with a SANParks representative present)
- Certificates of shredded documents must be issued per site
- SANParks will only pay for the actual weight shredded (estimates may vary)
Eligibility and Compliance Criteria
Prospective suppliers must be registered on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) and provide valid tax compliance documentation. Preference will be awarded in line with the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, prioritising locally based Eastern Cape enterprises and B-BBEE-compliant businesses.
Submission Guidelines and Deadlines
Quotations must be submitted electronically via the National Treasury eTenders portal. The closing date is Monday, 08 June 2026, at 11:00. Late submissions will not be considered. All pricing must be firm, inclusive of VAT, and valid for 90 days post-closure.
