Scope of Work
The successful bidder will provide comprehensive travel management services to SALGA employees, councillors, contractors, and consultants travelling on official business locally and internationally. Services include:
- Air travel (domestic & international) – full-service and low-cost carriers
- Accommodation bookings (hotels, guest houses, B&Bs)
- Car rental and shuttle/transfer services
- After-hours service (17:00 – 08:00 weekdays, 24/7 weekends & public holidays)
- Emergency travel bookings
- Group bookings for meetings, conferences, and events
- Visa information (applications not included)
- Travel insurance for international trips
- Monthly and quarterly reporting
- Online Booking Tool (OBT) functionality
Travel Volumes (Annual Estimates)
- Domestic air travel: 6,178 transactions
- Domestic accommodation: 8,593 transactions
- Domestic car rental: 2,312 transactions
- International air travel: 174 transactions
- International accommodation: 382 transactions
- After-hours services: 848 transactions
- Total annual transactions: ±28,530
