Scope of Work
The appointed service provider will be responsible for interior design services at CEF House and the SANPC Refinery, covering the following areas:
Client Consultation and Conceptualization:
- Determining project goals and requirements
- Sketching preliminary design plans, including electrical and partition layouts
- Developing initial design concepts, mood boards, and 3D visualisation
Space Planning and Design:
- Creating floor plans, elevations, and detailed layouts using software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp to optimise functionality
- Considering how the space will be used and how people will move through the space
Technical Specifications and Compliance:
- Selecting materials, lighting, fixtures, and finishes
- Ensuring designs meet building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards
Project Management, Coordination and Site Supervision:
- Project monitoring and ensuring that design is executed according to specifications
Reporting and Communication:
- Regular updates to the designated facilities or maintenance manager
- Maintaining a logbook for all works performed
Mandatory Requirements – Phase 1 (Disqualification if not met)
- Valid registration with COIDA – attach valid registration certificate
- Valid design software licence – attach copy of the valid licence
- Project Lead must have an NQF Level 6 or higher qualification in Interior Design – attach copy of the qualification
Submission Requirements
Bidders must submit complete documentation including signed SBD forms, valid tax compliance status, active CSD registration, and portfolio evidence demonstrating interior design capability. All proposals must be received before the stated deadline to be considered.
Evaluation Process
Proposals will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system per Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022. Evaluation criteria include technical capability, pricing competitiveness, B-BBEE status, and relevant experience in corporate interior design projects.
