Ekurhuleni Housing Company (EHC) invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for DSTV installation, maintenance, and repair services at Chris Hani Village’s 11 residential blocks in Germiston. This Request for Quotation (EHC/DSTV/2026) targets established satellite television technicians capable of delivering reliable communal entertainment infrastructure for social housing residents.
Tender Overview and Scope
The contract encompasses comprehensive DSTV support across multiple residential blocks, including signal optimization, equipment replacement, and ongoing maintenance. Successful bidders will ensure uninterrupted satellite television services for low and moderate-income households within EHC’s portfolio.
Key Technical Requirements
Service providers must demonstrate capability in:
- Replacing LNB units and optimizing signal strength for communal systems
- Installing correct multi-switches designed for block-level distribution (not residential units)
- Replacing substandard F-connectors with quality anti-loose alternatives
- Rectifying internal wiring issues within distribution boxes
- Conducting preventative maintenance across all 11 blocks

Submission Guidelines and Deadlines
Quotations must be hand-delivered in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with RFQ reference EHC/DSTV/2026, and deposited in the RED TENDER BOX at EHC Reception by 11:00 on Tuesday, 28 April 2026. Bidders must sign the submission register upon delivery. Late, emailed, or couriered submissions will not be accepted.
Mandatory Documentation Requirements
Prospective bidders must submit:
- Completed and signed Municipal Bidding Documents (MBD Forms)
- Valid SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN printout
- Current Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report
- Bank confirmation letter not older than three months
- Three months’ bank statements demonstrating financial capability
- Completed RFQ response document with firm pricing
