The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure invites qualified pest control service providers to submit bids for the eradication of rodents at the Redersburg Magistrate Court in Bloemfontein. This Request for Bid (ID-3271377) targets established pest management contractors capable of delivering effective, compliant rodent control solutions that protect public infrastructure and ensure a safe environment for court operations in the Free State.
Service Requirements and Specifications
The appointed service provider will deliver comprehensive rodent eradication services including:
- Inspection and assessment of the building to identify infestation points and entry routes
- Application of approved, environmentally responsible pest control methods and products
- Installation of bait stations, traps, and exclusion measures as required
- Follow-up monitoring and reporting to ensure sustained eradication results
- Compliance with the Fertilizers, Farm Feeds, Agricultural Remedies and Stock Remedies Act (Act 36 of 1947)
Mandatory Registration and Compliance
Bidders must demonstrate:
- Valid registration with the Department of Agriculture for pest control operations
- Approved certificates of registration submitted with bid documentation
- Valid registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Completed Standard Bidding Documents (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1)
- Valid tax compliance status and B-BBEE verification certificate or sworn affidavit

Bids will be evaluated using the 80/20 preference point system under the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022.
