Gert Sibande District Municipality invites qualified suppliers to submit bids for the supply and delivery of reagents and consumables for the Discrete Analyser (Gallery Plus) at its Water Quality Laboratory. This Request for Bid (GSDM 57/2025) targets established laboratory supply providers capable of delivering high-quality analytical products on an as-and-when-required basis over a twelve-month contract period.
Product Specifications and Requirements
The appointed service provider will supply reagents and consumables essential for water quality testing, including:
- Gallery Plus-specific reagents for chemical analysis
- Calibration standards and quality control materials
- Sample cups, probes, tubing, and instrument maintenance consumables
- All products must meet manufacturer specifications and SABS quality standards
- Delivery must be coordinated to the municipal offices in Ermelo within agreed lead times
Eligibility and Submission Criteria
Bidders must demonstrate:
- Valid registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
- Proven experience in supplying laboratory reagents or analytical equipment consumables
- Completed Standard Bidding Documents (SBD 1, SBD 4, SBD 6.1)
- Valid tax compliance status and B-BBEE verification certificate or sworn affidavit
- Proof of municipal account or lease agreement not older than three months
Evaluation and Preference Points
This tender is not subjected to functionality evaluation. Proposals will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system under the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022:
- 80 points allocated for price competitiveness
- 20 points allocated for specific goals, including local enterprise participation, black ownership, women ownership, youth involvement, and disability inclusion within Mpumalanga
