The procurement comprises one large-format commemorative cake with the following mandatory specifications:
- Size: 120cm x 60cm (horizontal orientation)
- Edible print coverage: 120cm x 60cm
- Flavour: Vanilla sponge base
- Frosting: Premium butter cream finish
- Delivery date: 27 March 2026
- Delivery location: Mandela Bay Theatre Complex, Corner Kani Ntshona Street, Central, Gqeberha, 6001
Bidders must ensure the cake meets professional presentation standards suitable for a milestone institutional celebration.
Mandatory Submission Requirements
Quotations will only be considered if accompanied by:
- Completed MBTC RFQ forms on company letterhead
- Valid VAT-inclusive pricing with delivery costs included
- Itemised price breakdown for all components
- Completed SBD 4 (Declaration of Interest) and SBD 6.1 (Preference Points Claim Form)
- Proof of Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration with MAAA supplier number
- Quotation validity of minimum 90 days from submission
Evaluation Criteria and Preference Points
Quotations will be adjudicated using the 80/20 Preferential Procurement System. Price accounts for 80 points, while 20 points are allocated to specific goals including youth ownership, women ownership, Black ownership, disability inclusion, and locality within Nelson Mandela Bay Metro or Eastern Cape Province.
