22 On Sloane, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), is hosting the AgriTech & AquaTech Showcase and Engagement Day on Thursday, 26 February 2026, at Dicla in the Cradle, Krugersdorp. This free, invitation-only event brings together smallholder and emerging farmers with local innovators to explore practical, homegrown agricultural technologies that boost productivity, cut input costs, and advance sustainability.
The showcase is designed specifically for Gauteng-based farmers, including those engaged in crop production, livestock rearing, aquaculture, hydroponics, and tunnel farming—offering a rare opportunity to test, question, and co-shape solutions built for South African conditions.
Why This Event Matters for Farmers
Many farmers face persistent challenges: rising input costs, climate variability, limited access to finance, and outdated practices. This event bridges the gap between innovation and on-the-ground need by spotlighting locally developed tools—from low-cost soil sensors and solar-powered irrigation kits to mobile apps for market linkage and disease tracking. Unlike generic expos, this is a participatory engagement, where farmer feedback directly informs future R&D and scaling pathways.
What You’ll Experience: Hands-On Tech & Real Dialogue
Attendees will have direct access to:
- Live demonstrations of field-tested AgriTech and AquaTech prototypes
