Polokwane, South Africa – The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) is proud to announce that its highly successful SME Rise Capital Matching Roadshow is coming to Limpopo on the 3rd of December 2025. This strategic event, to be held at the Fusion Boutique Hotel in Polokwane, is designed to support the development of high-potential small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region by facilitating direct connections with private investors, corporate funders, and other financial institutions.

Unlocking Growth for Limpopo SMEs

The JSE SME Rise Capital Matching Initiative is a dedicated platform that bridges the gap between ambitious SMEs and investors actively seeking new opportunities. For business owners in Limpopo, this roadshow represents a unique chance to explore tailored funding opportunities and accelerate their business to the next level of growth. Building on a proven track record, including a 62% success rate in 2023, the initiative aims to replicate its achievements by supporting more companies in 2025.

A Two-Stage Path to Successful Funding

The initiative is structured as a comprehensive, two-stage process to ensure that participating SMEs are thoroughly prepared and effectively matched with the right funders.

Stage 1: The Comprehensive Funding Readiness Programme

Before the main event, accepted companies will participate in a robust Funding Readiness Programme. This stage is critical for preparing SMEs to present themselves confidently and professionally to potential investors. The programme includes:

  • Six detailed modules covering the Funding Landscape, Market Assessment, Legal Requirements, and more.
  • A flexible mix of online pre-recorded and live sessions available from June 2025.
  • Access to practical tools, templates, and guidance notes.
  • Personalized pitch readiness sessions conducted directly with each company to refine their investment proposition.

Stage 2: The Direct Capital Matching Event

The culmination of the preparation is the Capital Matching Event itself. At this stage, funding-ready companies will:

  • Be matched with a minimum of four ideal funders based on their profile and needs.
  • Have their pitch decks shared directly with the matched investors.
  • Meet one-on-one with funding decision-makers, including equity investors, debt providers, venture capital firms, and development finance institutions.
  • Determine, together with the funders, the potential for a continued funding relationship.

Who Qualifies for the JSE Initiative?

The initiative is open to SMEs operating in South Africa that meet specific criteria, including:

  • Being a formally registered business with a minimum 12-month operating history.
  • Having a clear business model and a defined growth strategy.
  • Demonstrating financial viability or strong growth potential.
  • Having funding requirements of over R50,000.
