    MLRF Catering Services Tender for Aquatic Workshop

    The Marine Living Resources Fund (MLRF), an entity within the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE), invites qualified service providers to submit quotations for catering services at the two-day National Aquatic Animal Health Workshop. This Request for Quotation (RFQ0001293) supports a workshop to be held at Imbizo Boardroom, Pretoria, from 07 to 08 October 2026.

    Tender Overview and Scope

    The appointed service provider will provide catering for 30 people over two days. Delivery is required at 12:00 PM at the venue. Crockery and utensils must be provided. Refreshments including bottled water and soft drinks are required for both days. Assorted lunch platters suitable for sharing must be provided, with each platter comfortably serving 8 to 10 people.

    Menu Requirements

    The following platters are requested:

    • Savoury halaal meat platter options including chicken pies, beef pies, sausage rolls, and wraps with various savoury fillings
    • Vegetarian and vegan platter options including samosas, half-moons, spring rolls, pies, wraps, and vegetable quiches
    • Fruit and salad platters including seasonal fruit on skewers

    All platters must be ready for immediate service and appropriately labelled where necessary. Dietary and allergen information must be clearly indicated.

    Mandatory Requirements

    Bidders must submit the following documents to avoid disqualification:

    • Completed and signed SBD 1, SBD 3.3, SBD 4, and SBD 6.1 forms
    • Valid Tax Compliance Status PIN or CSD registration number
    • Proof of registration on the National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD)
    • Certified ID copies of directors and shareholders
    • Entity registration certificate (CK1)
    • Letter of authority to sign documents on behalf of the company
    • Detailed breakdown quotation attached

    Pricing and Preference Points

    The 80/20 preference point system applies. Price carries 80 points, while specific goals account for 20 points. Preference points are awarded for 51% black ownership (8 points), 50% women ownership (4 points), youth ownership (4 points), and disability (4 points). Quotations must be inclusive of VAT and quoted in South African Rands.

    Submission Details and Deadline

    Quotations must be emailed to MLRFQuotations@dffe.gov.za by Tuesday, 06 October 2026, at 11:00. Late submissions will not be considered. No hand-delivered responses will be accepted. The quotation must remain valid for 60 days from the closing date. No briefing session will be held.
