Tender Overview and Key Dates
This open tender, published on 19 August 2026, requires bidders to submit quotations by 4 September 2026 at 16:00 via OBP’s new e-Procurement portal . A compulsory site briefing session will be held on 27 August 2026 at 10:00 at 100 Old Soutpan Road, Onderstepoort, Pretoria, 0110. Bidders must wear PPE clothing before entering the premises.
Scope of Work and Personnel Requirements
The successful service provider must supply seven trained GMP cleaning staff to maintain various areas including offices, boardrooms, kitchens, canteens, distribution areas, stores, packaging facilities, and experimental animal facilities . Staff must be trained and experienced in GMP Facility Cleaning, with services required Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 15:30 . The scope requires strict adherence to a colour-coded cleaning cloth system: Yellow for workstations, Blue for staircases, walls, windows and glass, Red for bathrooms, and Green for kitchens.
Compulsory Documentation
Failure to submit any of the following documents will result in immediate disqualification :
- Valid COIDA Letter of Good Standing (Compensation for Occupational Injuries Diseases Act)
- Membership certificate with the National Contract Cleaners Association (NCCA/BEECA or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 reference letters (not older than 5 years) demonstrating experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environments
- Proof of public liability insurance (minimum R500,000) – original letter or certified copy
- Valid UIF Compliance Certificate issued by the Department of Labour
- Completed SBD4 Bidders Disclosure form
- CSD registration report (Tax Compliant)
