Victor Khanye Local Municipality has published an open tender for the appointment of a professional service provider for the design and implementation of sport projects across the municipal area. This initiative seeks to appoint a suitably qualified consulting engineering firm to provide full professional services for the planning, design, and construction supervision of sports facilities and related ancillary infrastructure. The contract is for a period of 36 months and presents a significant opportunity for experienced firms in the built environment sector.
Scope of Works
The appointed Service Provider will be responsible for delivering full professional consulting engineering services for the design and implementation of sports projects within the Victor Khanye Local Municipality.
The scope of work covers six key stages:
- Stage 1 – Inception: Establishing project requirements, appointing supporting consultants, and preparing the project brief.
- Stage 2 – Concept and Viability: Refining the project brief, preparing preliminary designs, and investigating financial implications.
- Stage 3 – Design Development: Incorporating client requirements into the finalised design, preparing specifications, and developing detailed designs.
- Stage 4 – Documentation and Procurement: Preparing procurement and construction documentation, including working drawings and bid documentation.
- Stage 5 – Contract Administration and Inspection: Managing, administering, and monitoring the construction contract, including acting as the OHS Agent.
- Stage 6 – Project Closure: Completing all project closure processes, including as-built drawings and the final account.
The bidder will be required to appoint and remunerate a team of construction professionals, which should include Architects, Quantity Surveyors, and Electrical/Mechanical Engineers.
Compulsory Briefing Session
Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Bidders who fail to attend will be automatically disqualified.
