Polokwane Municipality, in partnership with MunSoft, has launched an empowerment funding initiative specifically targeting young ICT enterprises operating within its jurisdiction. This strategic program aims to accelerate the development, sustainability, and financial independence of youth-owned technology businesses in the Limpopo capital.
Eligibility and Qualification Criteria
To qualify for this empowerment funding, applicant enterprises must meet stringent requirements:
- Be owned by youth entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35 years
- Hold valid registration with SARS, CIPC, and BBBEE
- Operate within Polokwane Municipality’s jurisdiction with proof of address
- Have been operational for a minimum of 12 months
- Specialize in the Information and Communication Technology sector
- Submit a comprehensive business plan or proposal
- Not have benefited from any municipal funding programme in the past five years
Submission Guidelines and Venue
Detailed business proposals can be submitted starting 1 July 2026 at the Itsoseng Entrepreneurial Centre, located at the corner of Blaauburg and Fluorspar Street, adjacent to the Polokwane bus rank next to Goseame Open Market. Submissions are accepted Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:30.
