    The South African Post Office Limited (SAPO) has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP 26-27-06) for the provision of guarding services across its workplaces in the Free State Province. This strategic 12-month contract aims to safeguard SAPO branches, mail centres, and critical infrastructure within the Central Region.

    Scope of Services and Contract Duration

    The appointed security provider will render comprehensive guarding services on a month-to-month basis, not exceeding a maximum period of 12 months. The mandate covers various operational nodes across the Free State Province, ensuring continuous protection of personnel, assets, and postal networks.

    Mandatory Experience and Resource Requirements

    Bidders must demonstrate a minimum of one year of completed experience in provisioning guarding services within the past two years. Proposals must detail service rates per 12-hour shift, quantified monthly and over the total 12-month contract duration.

    Key Requirements

    • PSIRA Registration: Minimum one year registration with valid membership certificate and Statement of Good Standing
    • Experience: Minimum one year completed guarding services experience within the past two years
    • Operational Footprint: Existing branch with secure firearm vault and dedicated control room within the Free State Province
    • Firearm Management: Competency certificate for designated Armoury Manager, documented handling procedures, and valid firearm permits
    • Communication Systems: Radio/cell platform with adequate network coverage
    • Electronic Patrol System: Real-time monitoring with missed patrol alarms

    Compulsory Virtual Briefing Session

    Attendance at the mandatory pre-bid clarification meeting is strictly enforced. Prospective bidders must join the virtual session to understand deployment ratios and compliance requirements.

    Submission Guidelines and Hand Delivery
