Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd has issued an open tender (E1134DXNCR) for the provision of supplying and installation of air conditioning units at its Northern Cape Operating Unit. This strategic infrastructure upgrade aims to enhance operational efficiency and workplace comfort at the Kimberley facility.
Scope of Work and Technical Requirements
The scope involves the supply and installation of HVAC and air conditioning split units across the Northern Cape Operating Unit. The contractor will be responsible for:
- Removal and disposing of old faulty air conditioners
- Installation of new air conditioning units, including assembling
- Re-gasing of air conditioners
- Electrical work – wiring and pulling of cables from ducting and trenching
- Welding and wall drilling
Mandatory Compliance and Registration
Bidders must be registered with the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) or demonstrate capability to register within 21 working days from the tender closing date. Contractors must meet the specified grading designation determined by the best estimated value of the scope of works. Additional mandatory requirements include valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration and compliance with Eskom’s Supplier Integrity Pact.
Non-Compulsory Clarification Meeting
A virtual clarification session will be held to address bidder queries and provide technical guidance.
