Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality invites qualified security service providers to submit bids for the provision of 24-hour physical security services across its offices, buildings, and infrastructure sites within Mahikeng Local Municipality. This three-year contract presents a significant opportunity for PSIRA-registered companies to deliver professional security solutions in the North West Province.
Tender Overview and Scope
The municipality seeks a reliable partner to provide armed and unarmed guarding, access control, CCTV monitoring, patrol services, and incident reporting at multiple sites including fire stations, water treatment works, boreholes, and reservoirs. Bidders must demonstrate capacity to deploy Grade A, B, and C/D security personnel as specified.
Key Sites & Personnel Requirements (Total 84 guards daily/night combined):
- Head Office: 8 guards (4 armed + 4 unarmed per day)
- Mmabatho Water Treatment Works: 6 guards
- Water Material Warehouse: 6 guards
- Mahikeng & Mmabatho WWTW: 8 guards total
- Molopo Fire Station: 3 guards

- Closing date: Monday, 15 June 2026 at 11:00
- Valid PSIRA registration for company and directors
- COIDA Letter of Good Standing and NBCPSS registration
- Public liability insurance coverage of minimum R500,000
- CIDB grading and CSD registration mandatory
Evaluation and Preference Points
Bids will be assessed using the 80/20 preference point system. Functionality scoring covers company experience, key personnel qualifications, and resource availability. Preference points reward 51% youth-owned enterprises, supporting local economic transformation goals.
