    Gibela Chemical MSME Support Programme: Apply Now

    Gibela Business Incubator, in partnership with the Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED), has launched a call for applications for its 12-month Chemical Support Programme. This initiative is designed to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) operating within the chemical sector across Gauteng. The programme aims to strengthen technical capabilities, improve regulatory compliance, and enhance market readiness. Interested businesses must apply by the closing date of Thursday, 13 March 2026.

    Programme Focus: Building Sustainable Chemical Businesses

    The 12-month programme is structured to address key areas critical for growth and sustainability in the chemical industry. Selected MSMEs will receive targeted support to bolster their operations and competitive edge. The core focus areas include:

    • Quality Management (QMS): Implementing robust systems to ensure consistent product quality.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Navigating and adhering to industry-specific regulations and standards.
    • Market Access & Funding Readiness: Preparing businesses to enter new markets and become investment-ready.
    • Product Quality Enhancement: Improving formulations and manufacturing processes for better market fit.

    Strict Qualifying Criteria for Applicants

    To ensure the programme benefits the intended target group, Gibela Business Incubator has set specific qualifying criteria. Applicants must meet all the following requirements to be considered:

    • Be a Gauteng-based MSME.
    • Have been operational for a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years.
    • Be registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).
    • Be 100% owned by South African citizens.
    • Be manufacturers of cleaning chemicals, personal care products, or industrial chemicals.

    Application Process: How to Apply

    Interested and qualifying businesses can apply through a simple process. Applications are to be submitted online via the official programme portal. The application steps are:

    1. Apply Online: Complete the application form via the link provided on the Gibela Incubator website.
    2. Initial Review: The Gibela Incubator committee will receive and assess all applications.
    3. Evaluation: The committee will evaluate applications and determine the way forward.
    4. Contracting: Successful applicants will be contracted for the programme.
    5. Support Begins: Selected SMMEs will commence their incubation journey.
