    Limpopo Department of Education School Furniture Supply Tender

    The Limpopo Department of Education (LDoE) has issued an open tender (LDE/B14/2026/27) for the appointment of service providers to supply and deliver furniture to primary and secondary schools across the province. This strategic, once-off procurement initiative aims to enhance the learning environment by providing durable, compliant, and high-quality educational furniture to schools in need.

    Scope of Supply

    The successful bidder(s) will be responsible for the manufacturing, supply, and delivery of specific school furniture items. Key deliverables include:

    • Double Combination Desks for Primary Schools, manufactured from Saligna wood (Size: 1000x400x575mm, compliant with SANS 660:4 Edition 3.2).
    • Single Combination Desks for Secondary Schools, manufactured from Saligna wood (Size: 600x400x750mm, compliant with SANS 660:2004 Edition 3.2).
    • Safe and timely delivery to designated departmental institutions and schools across the Limpopo province as per official purchase orders.

    Mandatory Compliance Requirements

    To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a comprehensive and fully compliant documentation package. Essential submissions include:

    • A valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report reflecting an active MAAA status.
    • A current SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN.
    • A valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.
    • Fully completed Standard Bidding Documents (SBD forms) as stipulated in the tender document.

    Evaluation Criteria

    Proposals will undergo a rigorous two-stage evaluation process. Bidders must first achieve a minimum functionality threshold of 70 out of 100 points to proceed to the financial evaluation stage. Points are allocated based on company experience, financial resources, and locality (with preference given to offices located within the Limpopo Province). Qualifying bids will then be adjudicated using the applicable preference point system, balancing price competitiveness with specific transformation goals.

    Submission Guidelines

    There will be no briefing session for this procurement. Completed bid documents must be placed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the tender number (LDE/B14/2026/27) and the description “Supply and Delivery of Furniture for Primary and Secondary Schools”. Envelopes must be deposited in the designated tender box at the Limpopo Department of Education, 113 Biccard Street, Polokwane, 0699. The strict closing time is 11:00 on Wednesday, 28 October 2026.
