    MEGA Factory 215/1 Renovation Tender 2026

    The Mpumalanga Economic Growth Agency (MEGA) has issued an open tender (MEGA/2027/08) for the appointment of a qualified service provider to undertake the comprehensive renovation of Factory 215/1 and related infrastructure at the Ekandustria Industrial Park. This strategic infrastructure project aims to revitalize the industrial park, strengthen asset protection, and create a safer, more secure environment that supports continued economic growth and tenant sustainability in the province.

    Scope of Renovation Works

    The successful contractor will be responsible for executing a multi-faceted renovation project. Key deliverables include:

    • Comprehensive building works for the renovation of Office Building 215/1.
    • Replacement of dilapidated perimeter fencing with new, secure perimeter fencing.
    • Installation of controlled access gates to strengthen site security and prevent unlawful encroachment.
    • Execution of external works, including general site preparation and compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations.

    Compulsory Briefing and Site Visit

    Participation in the pre-bid processes is strictly mandatory. Failure to attend both sessions will result in immediate disqualification.

    Mandatory Compliance Requirements

    To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a stringent compliance package demonstrating technical and financial capacity. Essential documentation includes:

    • A valid Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) contractor grading designation of 4GB and 4EB or higher.
    • An active National Treasury Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration report.
    • A current SARS Tax Compliance Status PIN.
    • A valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.

    Submission Guidelines

    All bid documents and supporting materials must be submitted in two formats: one (1) original hard copy and one (1) copy on a USB flash drive. These must be placed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the bidder’s name, tender number, description, and closing date. Envelopes must be deposited in the designated tender box at either:

    • MEGA Head Office: 02 Eastern Boulevard, Riverside, Mbombela, 1200.
    • MEGA Office: Ekandustria Industrial Park, No. 1 Iridium Street, Bronkhorstspruit, 1028.
