Department of Defence 16×32 Military Tent Supply Tender

The Department of Defence has issued an open tender (CPSC/B/365/2026) for the outsourcing of a service provider to supply and deliver 16 x 32 Hip Roof Military Tents. This strategic procurement is designated for the Joint Tactical Headquarters in the Northern Cape, ensuring the military has access to durable, high-performance field accommodation that meets rigorous operational standards.

Scope of Supply and Specifications

The successful bidder will be responsible for providing military-grade tents that can withstand demanding environmental conditions. Key technical specifications include:

  • Tent dimensions of 16 x 32 (10.0m length x 5.0m width x 3.6m height).
  • A packed weight of less than 115kg for optimal transportability.
  • A guaranteed 100% watertight seal with properly sealed seams to prevent water penetration.
  • UV-resistant fabric suitable for harsh South African weather conditions.
  • A maximum wind rating capacity of up to 80-100km/h.
  • Strong, corrosion-resistant frames designed for repeated assembly and dismantling.

Mandatory Compliance Requirements

To be considered responsive, bidders must submit a stringent compliance package. Essential documentation includes:

  • The latest valid Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration full report, reflecting director details, business status, and banking information.
  • A full-colour catalogue or brochure from the manufacturer detailing the technical specifications of the proposed tents.
  • Written confirmation from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guaranteeing adherence to the required specifications.
  • A valid B-BBEE certificate or sworn affidavit.

Compulsory Briefing Session

Attendance at the official briefing session is strictly mandatory. Failure to attend on time will result in the immediate invalidation of the bid, and no latecomers will be entertained. The session is scheduled for Friday, 23 October 2026, at 11:00. It will be held at the Joint Operation Headquarters, Block B, 349 Witch-Hazel Avenue, Eco-Park, Centurion.

Submission Guidelines

Completed bid documents must be deposited in the designated bid box at the Central Procurement Service Centre, Eco-Origin Office Park, Block E, 349 Witch Hazel Avenue, Eco Park, Centurion. Please note that the bid box closes daily between 11:00 and 12:00. The strict closing date and time for this tender is 11:00 on Thursday, 05 November 2026.
